Social Media Sites - Effects on the Network Training Course with Laura Chappell

IT professionals responsible for maintaining the performance and security
of networks filled with users who want access to the social media sites.

Course Description
In this course Laura examines and analyzes the traffic generated by users
when they access the most popular social media websites - Twitter,
YouTube, Facebook, MySpace, Vimeo, and more. She's decided to include
the video feed sites as they are so popular with users as well. She will
analyze the bandwidth hit on the network when accessing each of these
sites, look for security issues in the traffic and locate the signatures that
allow you to block access to these sites even when someone is trying to
be sneaky. This course includes live trace file analysis using Wireshark.

You Will Learn

How to set up Wireshark to perform application analysis
Bandwidth usage when accessing various social media websites
Underlying protocols and applications used to access these social
media sites
Signatures in traffic to/from these sites
